Musicians will go to great lengths to find inspiration, but for the man behind electronica act Nightmares On Wax it was a case of going great distances to come up with the sound for his latest album.

When George Evelyn, aka EASE, left his birthplace of Leeds to relocate to Ibiza, he decided against shipping his studio equipment, and instead packed the gear, a sound engineer and Nightmares On Wax’s live band members into camper vans and drove there.

Taking the long way served as inspiration, akin to that which gave birth to seminal Nightmares on Wax album Smokers Delight.

"We would stop at any sight or landscape view that promised some sort of inspiration, allowing us all the freedom to just dwell in that moment and emotion we found ourselves in, only to get inspired by the resulting feeling,“ says the producer.

The result is Nightmares On Wax’s sixth album Thought So.
