It begins with the distinctive voice of Dame Judi Dench, ends with a gun shot fired by star Daniel Craig and already has film fanatics enthralled.

In true Bond style, the new Quantum of Solace trailer is packed with improbable action, beautiful women and brooding looks.

In 2 minutes and 11 seconds, the clip takes in a high-speed car chase, airborne combat, gun fire, a fist fight and an ambitious motorbike stunt.

Then, there’s a ferocious fire, speedboat stunts and, of course, the come hither glances of new Bond girl Olga Kurylenko.

Promising an epic film, the dramatic trailer has set the internet buzzing. Fans who pounced on the YouTube posting were all but unanimous in their approval.

“This is by far the best Bond trailer of all!” wrote one.

“I have goosebumps! Excellent trailer!” said another.

Despite a string of bad luck during filming - star Craig was injured twice on set and a stuntman was seriously hurt while shooting a car chase scene - the 22nd Bond film is expected to be a hit when it is released on October 31.
