Oasis have postponed a string of shows after Noel Gallagher was diagnosed with three broken ribs resulting from an onstage attack.
The frontman was shoved onto a monitor speaker while performing at the V Festival in Toronto, Canada, earlier this month, but originally thought he had escaped with only a fractured rib and ligament damage.
But, announcing the cancellation of three concerts, a spokesperson for the band said Gallagher had now been told he was more seriously injured than previously thought.
"A CT scan has now revealed that Noel suffered three broken and dislodged ribs in the attack and he has been advised by his doctor that he will not be able to perform for at least another week.
"Oasis are being forced to postpone three shows as a result of the injuries Noel sustained when he was attacked on stage in Toronto."
The band has pulled plans to play at The Eden Project in Cornwall on September 27, the Gloria Theatre in Cologne on September 29 and the Bataclan in Paris on September 30.
Today, Eden’s creative director Peter Hampel said: "We are sorry to hear that Noel's injuries mean that he will not be well enough for the band to perform on Saturday and we wish him a speedy recovery. We share fans' disappointment at the latest news. We are now talking to the band's management about rescheduling the concert."
Oasis have already missed a New York concert and a Canadian performance to promote their new album, Dig Out Your Soul, since Gallagher was injured on September 7.
Toronto police have charged Daniel Sullivan, 47, over the attack, in which a man stormed the stage and shoved Gallagher over before being detained by security.

I totally reject all acts of violence, The agressor should be put in jail. On the other hand, how could this happen? Security on stage should be reinforced.
Oswaldo, Lima, Peru
As a Torontonian, I am appalled and disgusted by this mindless act of violence. It is not only sheer stupidity and arrogance on the part of the aggressor, but wholely un-Canadian in its essence. I certainly hope that this senseless incident does not tarnish our otherwise peaceful image.
Jennifer, Toronto, Canada
I hope that they are going to sue the guy for the lost income. It might serve to bring home the consequences of this mindless attack.
