Two contestants have been evicted from the Big Brother house just three days shy of the final.
Mohamed Mohamed, 24, and Kathreya Kasisopa, 30, left the house wearing bathrobes after last night’s surprise eviction was sprung on them while they were dressed up for the Impersonate Me task.
The pair were stunned to find themselves in front of cameras and a crowd wrapped in the white towling robes.
Mohamed was evicted first and then, as the house was still coming to grips with his exit, host Davina McCall announced that Kathreya must also leave.
The massage therapist and several of the other housemates burst into tears. Kathryea was still sobbing as she climbed the steps to the exit and was greeted by a mixture of booing and cheering.
The surprise double eviction leaves five contestants – Rex Newmark, Sara Folino, Rachel Rice, Darnell Swallow and Michael Hughes - in the house, vying to win Friday’s final.
In contrast to prior seasons, no clear winner has emerged during the 13-week series.
Rachel has been branded boring, with chef Rex memorably telling her he would swap her for a game of Scrabble. Darnell, formerly a popular housemate, lost favour with female fans after calling Sara a “slut” and an “ugly bitch”.
Rex, initially a favourite, showed a different side when his girlfriend briefly entered the house and public opinion is now mixed.
Sara’s popularity has slowly risen as she has dealt with bullying by Rex, Mohamed and Darnell, but the Australian has been accused of leading Darnell on.
Michael Hughes remains the bookie’s favourite, slightly ahead of Rachel.
Friday’s winner will take home £100,000.
