I am having difficulty obtaining grey mascara. Would you be able to help? D. Adlington, Epsom

It’s been a bit of a challenge, has this one. I tried all the obvious brands – Body Shop, Maybelline, Lancôme, Rimmel, Avon; nothing. Then I tried the more fashiony brands, such as MAC and Nars, also to no avail.

Then I remembered that Dr Hauschka has a very muted, natural range of make-up called the Stone Colour Collection, which includes mascaras – I am already very fond of the plum version, which suits my greeny eyes. Miraculously, there’s grey as well – dark grey, mind, but then I’m thinking light grey would look a bit weird anyway.
