On paper, this could be the weekend when reality kicks in for the two clubs promoted to the top flight of the Hydro Electric Scottish Premiership - but don't bet on it. Selkirk and West of Scotland may both be on their travels, but they are facing teams that failed to show any real threat in their opening games.
West appear to have the tougher task, travelling to Melrose, where Craig Chalmers has been demanding an improvement from his side after their dismal showing in failing to score a point at Ayr last week. He is able to welcome back Scott Wight, the captain and fly half, which should go a long way towards fulfilling that order, but West boast one of the best packs in the Premiership, led by Gordon Bulloch, the former Scotland captain, and are ready to end all talk of the Greenyards side being potential champions.
Selkirk make their trip to Anniesland, where Glasgow Hawks are still very much in rebuilding mode, with new faces across the side and no sign in their opening performance that they have found the key to understanding each other's games. With the core of the side that won promotion driving them forwards, the Borderers travel in confident mood.
Across the country, in Edinburgh, it is a derby weekend. Boroughmuir, the champions, are looking for their second city scalp in a week after claiming all five points against Edinburgh Academicals in their opening game to move to the top of the first table of the new season. This time Boroughmuir are down the road at Currie, who must be asking hard questions about their fitness after their second-half collapse against Selkirk last week.
The clash of two sides on the up comes at Myreside where Watsonians take on Heriot's. Both sides managed wins last week, though in radically different styles. The home side won comfortably enough at Stirling County, who visit Accies this week, while Heriot's only just managed to hold out against a rampant Hawick fightback.
Both should have the firepower to challenge for the title, but need to show they have found consistency.
